Research field:Crystal Interface
Research Interests / Topics / Facilities, etc.:(1) Electron Microscopy: To visualize all the elements from light to heavy atoms and reveal local electronic structures, we are developing new imaging and spectroscopic microscopy in atomic scale. (2) Interface and Grain Boundary Structures: Combining atomic-resolution electron microscopy with first principles calculations, we resolve the relationship between local atomic structure and unique functional properties emergent at interfaces or grain boundaries.
